Jan grew up near San Jose, lived in almost every corner of Los Angeles, and has proudly called Boulder, Colorado home for the last five years. After a decade of engineering work for startups and enterprises, especially in and around Google Cloud, he’s enjoyed a variety of roles in software architecture, app development, and developer relations.

Now at Housing Connector, Jan’s excited to scale our products, architect future innovations, and ensure data security throughout. Our values of empathy and transparency resonate with his system design process, and he brings a holistic appreciation for the subtleties of when to build vs. buy, when to reinvent the wheel, and how to invest in roads.

Jan moved to Colorado to finally experience seasons, but now his favorite aspects are the bikeability, Nepalese buffets, and crunchy nerds, with whom he loves hosting dinners and storytelling games. However, with most of his lifelong friends and remote jobs both headquartered on the west coast, he also seasonally roadtrips through other states for work and play.
