Garrett is originally from Central Texas and has spent his career across the U.S. building organizations that help people in vulnerable places gain access to critical resources. A lifelong learner, he holds a bachelor's degree in Communication from Texas A&M University, a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Kansas. 

Before joining Housing Connector, Garrett spent over a decade working alongside refugees and asylum seekers in the U.S. and abroad, most recently as an executive leader with the International Rescue Committee and World Relief where he directed resettlement, asylum, and integration across Texas. At Housing Connector, Garrett leads the Austin and Dallas teams and is passionate about building the bridge between property owners, service providers, and community organizations that create long-term stability for individuals and families. 

Helping people find a place of belonging is a core part of who Garrett is, at work and at home. He is married to Nicole, and together they have a creative and spirited son, Grey. Garrett is always up for a great book, a beautiful hike, or the occasional improv performance with his friends.
