SMS Terms of Service
MESSAGING PROGRAM TERMS & CONDITIONS
Effective Date: April 2026
Housing Connector ("we," "us," "our") offers SMS messaging programs to support renters, property partners, and community partners participating in our housing programs. By opting in to receive text messages from Housing Connector, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Messaging Programs
Housing Connector operates several SMS messaging programs. When you opt in, you will only receive messages related to the specific program(s) you have consented to. Our current messaging programs include:
Direct to Resident: Referral Notifications Message frequency varies. If you are referred to Housing Connector's Direct program by a property partner, you may receive text messages regarding your referral status, consent requests, application updates, approval or denial notifications, and next steps for your housing application.
Housing Stability Check-Ins: Message frequency varies. If you are an enrolled Housing Connector resident, you may receive text messages from our Stability team regarding lease compliance, rent assistance coordination, payment plan outreach, and resources to help you stay stably housed.
Program Updates & Transactional Notifications: Message frequency varies. You may receive text messages with important updates about your participation in Housing Connector programs, including move-in confirmations, document requests, and other time-sensitive communications related to your housing.
Message frequency varies by program and your individual circumstances. Messages may be more frequent during active application review or stability case resolution. Message and data rates may apply. Consult your wireless provider for details about your text and data plan.
Consent and Opt-In
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in through any of our enrollment methods — including web forms, referral consent links, or direct communication with Housing Connector staff — you consent to receive SMS messages from Housing Connector related to the specific program(s) you have opted into.
Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving services from Housing Connector. You may decline SMS communications and still participate in our programs through email and other communication channels.
Your consent and associated mobile information will not be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
How to Opt Out
You can cancel SMS messages at any time. Text STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send "STOP," we will send you a confirmation message. After that, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.
If you want to rejoin a messaging program, you may opt in again through the original enrollment method and we will resume sending messages to you.
