Allison Monroe is an entrepreneur who started and ran companies in Jordan, the USA, and Australia. She was in the Peace Corps in the Middle East and has an International media background as a photojournalist in the West Bank and Jordan for a local Arabic daily newspaper. Most recently, she founded a global marketplace, Language Learning Market, for educational resources in all languages.  

The lack of affordable housing recently became a big issue in Texas and she is determined to be a part of the solution.  Allison is responsible to help launch Housing Connector in DFW and build strong relationships with community partner organizations in north Texas. Allison is an impact-driven community leader with a passion to activate resources and motivate people to action. She has a contagious enthusiasm for new ideas, people and activities. She will use this enthusiasm to build bridges between the private, public, and nonprofit sectors to help solve our housing crisis.

Community service is at the center of Allison's life. Currently, she serves on local and international non-profit boards with the theme of equity and creating opportunities for our most vulnerable populations. She lives in Mckinney, Texas, has 4 active young children, loves to volunteer, whitewater kayak, camp and travel internationally.
